Molly & Me

A little black dog showed up at work the other day, she had tags but there was no answer at the numbers we called. So she needed a place to stay for night. I called Brad & Korine and they decided to keep her for the night and call the vet office the next day.

It was amazing how this adorable lost dog was so well tempered and trained. She would sit on command and follow complete strangers, right at their heels. She was terribly friendly with the kids and never barked all night that B&K had her.

Korine got a hold of the owner... and the previous owner. They both asked if I wanted to keep her, poor thing! Apparently, she was found by Norway house as a young pregnant pup in poor health. Shelly took her in a nursed her back to health, but when they moved back to Steinbach, they weren't able to keep her. Which is too bad because she was their favorite dog out of 5!! She's been trying to find a home for her ever since then, but nothing has been working out.

She wanted to know if I wanted her, which of course I do, but I'm not able to keep her at my parents' place. Shelly said she wouldn't mind holding her until some time next year when I'm ready for her. And why wouldn't I want her? She's house broken, trained, spade, amiable, and adorable!!!

So, I have my name on her and I am welcome to visit her any time I want. My mind is filled with images of Sach and I taking Molly for walks and playing in the park, and sitting inside by the fire place during the depths of winter. I've wanted a dog since I was 7, after my last one ran away, but was NEVER allowed a pet since then. I'm soooo happy Sacha said we could keep her!!! I can hardly wait til next year when I can bring her home! :)

My First Post

Well, now, it's about time I started a blog; I thought keeping a blog of what's going on with Sacha and I in Canada would be a great way to keep everyone informed of the latest news! :)

It's my 4th month working at Harv's Air already, still enjoying it immensely. The people I work with are great! I learn something new from every student that walks in the door and I am being stretched in all aspects. One of the main things right now is my 'attempt' at learning French, which I feel like I see no progress in. Marc or Greg will say something to me and in French and I'll stare at them for the next 5 minutes trying to configure a reply in French, but by the time I've come up with something to say, the moment has passed and I look like an idiot staring off into space while I'm suppose to be working. LOL! I'm so thankful for Sacha's encouragement, it makes it easier to press on. He said if I moved somewhere I could only speak French for 3 weeks, I would be fluent.... hmmm, might be worth a try ;)

Sacha's nearly finished his first month at Steve's. He is enjoying it, I have confirmation. :)Admittedly, it's not flying, but it's not bad. C'est bon! He received his first paycheck yesterday so the feeling is more like 'tres bon'! He's looking at possibly moving out of Keon and Christal's in November if we can get everything in order. We spent two hours yesterday trying to come up with a descent budget to allow us to live and to save money, tough stuff. Part of growing up I guess.

Things can only improve from today, and things are improved from yesterday!
I have great hope for our future, and many exciting plans!

Bonne Nuit!
